The Woodward Lab is focused on healthcare delivery specifically for the anterior segment of the eye. Our goal is to dramatically extend high-quality, affordable eye care to underserved and under-represented communities nationally and globally. Funded by a National Eye Institute R01 grant, our research focuses on applying low-cost technologies and novel care models to address eye problems before they cause damage to the eye and permanent vision loss. The overarching goal is to personalize treatments earlier and more accurately in order to improve patient outcomes, especially in vulnerable populations.
